Theory Classes
Kai Arts & Music offer unique music theory classes for all instrument backgrounds. Classes run from beginner’s level to advanced AMEB examination certificate.
For students who are interested in progressing music academically, our instructors are qualified to prepare them with current graded music theory syllabus and can enrol them in AMEB graded music theory examinations. We can also help guide those who wish to sit for Year 12 ATAR music examination in order to progress towards tertiary level.
We are opening new theory classes commencing in the first week of March. Classes time are as follow:
Grade 1: Wednesday 5:30pm-6:30pm
Grade 2: Tuesday 5:30pm-6:30pm
Grade 3: Thursday 5:30pm-6:30pm
Aural Training
The ability to listen to and identify musical elements is another important skill for a competent musician.
Our centre encourages proficiency in “music by ear” and therefore has incorporated aural training in our theory classes. Students can learn to listen by using the Solfege system and can develop to an advanced level using Solfege as a tool.
